Algospeak: How Social Media is Transforming the Future of Language by Adam Aleksic:

Dictionaries shadowbanned. Grammar sewer-slide. English is unalive.

Material World: A Substantial Story of Our Past and Future by Ed Conway:

Sand. Salt. Iron. Copper. Oil. Lithium. Long ago, humanity lived in harmony with the natural world. Then, everything changed when the industrial revolution attacked. We have a lot to learn but I believe Material World can save our understanding.

Follow the Money: How much does Britain cost? by Paul Johnson:

If you think taxes are boring, read this. If you think taxes are exciting, read this.

The Sound and the Fury by William Faulkner:

Deserved a number of reads. Strongly recommended.

The Phoenix Project by Gene Kim, Kevin Behr, and George Spafford:

An entertaining read with moments for reflection on how to best work with people and how to build an understanding of solutions for the conflicts between technical and nontechnical teams across a business.

The Trading Game by Gary Stevenson:

If anything, worth reading just for the trading floor character descriptions.
