Euler Characteristics of Finite Categories
(Preliminary Dissertation)
- Presentation and handout version (contains no transitions).
Misc. Presentations
- 'On the Brachistochrone Problem'. Uses the Calculus of Variations to demonstrate that the brachistochrone is the appropriate extremal of its corresponding functional (namely, that it is the curve traced out by a point acted on only by gravity which reaches its end point in the shortest time).
- 'Wallpaper Groups from Scratch'. There was an accompanying paper associated to this but the TeX is frankly embarassing. Ignore the mortifying mistake of claiming the torus has Euler characteristic of 2 on a number of slides.
