Ok so this is primarily just for me, but: The clocks in the UK go forward 1 hour on the last Sunday in March (30th March, this year).
The implications of this are as follows.
- You 'lose' an hour in the night.
- Hence, if you want to keep your total sleep constant, you need to go to bed earlier the night before.
- This is pretty disruptive and hard to suddenly do.
- Hence, we should stagger it over a few days.
For myself, the plan is then something like:
- Go to sleep X minutes (for X ∈ {10, 15, 20}) earlier each day prior for N days (where N = 60/X).
- ???
- Profit.
If you are wondering what to do when we transition out of BST (on the last Sunday of October): Sleep in? Duh
