BST-Maxxing!!

I can't be the only one who forgets... right?

Ok so this is primarily just for me, but: The clocks in the UK go forward 1 hour on the last Sunday in March (30th March, this year).

The implications of this are as follows.

  1. You 'lose' an hour in the night.
  2. Hence, if you want to keep your total sleep constant, you need to go to bed earlier the night before.
  3. This is pretty disruptive and hard to suddenly do.
  4. Hence, we should stagger it over a few days.

For myself, the plan is then something like:

  1. Go to sleep X minutes (for X ∈ {10, 15, 20}) earlier each day prior for N days (where N = 60/X).
  2. ???
  3. Profit.

If you are wondering what to do when we transition out of BST (on the last Sunday of October): Sleep in? Duh
